G37 Coupes, Sedans, and Convertibles

The great Infiniti rename process a few years back swept the G37 name into line with the rest of the Infiniti fleet. It adopted a Q moniker. The previously named G37 was re-christened the Infiniti Q40.

We bring that to your attention because as a point of comparison you may be looking for an older model Q40 but having a hard time finding one. Rest assured, if you find a nicely kept G37, you are indeed looking at the direct parentage of the new Q40.

With the same luxury, performance, and artfully crafted design that Infiniti has come to represent around the world, the Infiniti G37 is an excellent choice. Offering plenty of trim levels and standard features with quick and agile performance, getting behind the wheel of one of these vehicles is a sensational thrill.

Overall, the G37 stands up well with any entry level luxury performance vehicle, and shoppers looking for luxury and value would do well to put it at the top of their want list.

Features

With a richly styled exterior coupled with nicely done interior trim levels, the Infiniti G37 is the classic blend of luxury and performance.

Utilizing intelligent all-wheel drive to focus power smartly to the wheels, the vehicle captures curves easily and adapts to changing road conditions automatically.

Featuring the classic Infiniti flair for style and design, the vehicle not only performs well, it looks striking too.

Through the production years of the Infiniti G37, models included a coupe, sedan, and convertible body style. Four possible trim levels can be found including the entry level trim, Journey, G37x, and Sport 6MT.

Performance

A 3.7L V6 power-plant produces a healthy 330 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque. The power is delivered to the wheels through a seven-speed automatic transmission with wheel mounted paddle shifters in the entry level, Journey, and G37x trims, while the 6MT trim level offers a six speed manual.

Technology

The vehicle offers plenty of advanced technology designed to heighten the experience of the drive. Items like four-wheel active steer can be found, as well as traditional stability control, pre-collision preparation, a sport tuned suspension, and a limited slip rear differential.

Goodie and gadget technology features an available upgrade in the sound system to the advanced Bose acoustic treatment, iPod connectivity, navigation assistance, and many of the other features you find with the current Infiniti lineup.

Safety

Then, as now, safety is top priority with Infiniti. Standard safety features include a steel reinforced safety cage which incorporates engineered crumple points which absorb a collision’s energy into the vehicle body, keeping cabin occupants insulated from the forces.

Additionally, a canopy of cabin air-bags, front, rear, and side work in harmony with seat restraining systems to further protect passengers and drivers in the event of a crash. Other safety features include traction control systems and vehicle dynamic control.
